The only downside? Exploring Lahore is EXHAUSTING. That’s why you need a great place to stay.
Over the years, I have stayed in dozens of places in the city; this is my ultimate list of the best hotels in Lahore. From gap-year backpackers to gold-clad sultans – there is a hotel option for every type of traveler on this list.

Backpackers Hostel Lahore
If you’re okay sacrificing some comfort to stay super budget-friendly, then consider the Backpackers Hostel. Just be prepared that rooms are basic and frequent power cuts happen.
Pearl Continental
There’s not much left the designers of this place forgot to include at the Pearl Continental, one of Lahore’s best luxury hotels. A swimming pool, fitness center, multiple restaurants, and even a sauna are all available!
Grand Enclave
Stay at one of Lahore’s best four-star hotels – it’s less than two miles from the airport making it perfect for late arrivals or early departures to and from the city.
Nine Tree Luxury Hotel & Suites
With a spacious suite or hotel room at Nine Tree, your trip to Lahore can become a bit more luxurious. The romantic touches and excellent services like a restaurant and fitness center complete the experience.
Luxus Grand Hotel
Take your stopover in Lahore to new heights at the Luxus Grand. A top luxury hotel in Pakistan, the Luxus Grand not only has excellent amenities but also excellent views of some of the city landmarks of Lahore.
Breakdown: The Best Hotels in Lahore
In the cultural heart of Pakistan, you don’t want the inconvenience of a bad hotel ruining your trip. Now that you’ve got a sneak-peak at the top hotels in Lahore, I’ll go into more detail about each property to give you a run-down of just what makes each of these hotels stand out and what type of traveler will benefit most from staying there.
Tourist Inn Hotel
$$ | 3 star | Close to the Anarkali Bazaar | Breakfast available | Air conditioning
For the general traveler looking to strike a balance between comfort and budget, the Tourist Inn is an excellent option. When I lead tours in Pakistan, this is where I stay with my clients when we roll into Lahore.
Thanks to its excellent location close to Mall Road which has many shops and restaurants, you can also walk to places like the Lahore Museum and the Anarkali Bazaar. Unfortunately, breakfast isn’t included, but it’s only a couple extra dollars and you can pick from a continental or buffet spread.
Even though there is a restaurant on site (breakfast), you’re staying so close to some of Lahore’s best markets and food streets, I’d highly recommend trying out the local flavors anyway. Like any of the best hotels in Lahore, the Tourist Inn has air-conditioned rooms so you can escape the sweltering heat and humidity of the city.
Pearl Continental
$$$ | 5 star | Inside the Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam (The Mall) | Swimming pool | Fitness Center
If a relaxing sauna at the end of the day sounds appealing, finding luxury accommodation in Lahore like the Pearl Continental is the way to go. Location is ideal as well, right next to Bagh-e-Jinnah, one of the most popular parks of the city.
I’d recommend the Pearl Continental for travelers on shorter vacations or trips to Pakistan. It lacks some of the local authenticity of other hotels in Lahore, but it’s top-notch if you’re interested in comfort and service.
You’ll have the basics like breakfast and airport transfers covered during your stay, plus an array of on-site restaurants serving everything from Mongolian to Italian cuisine. Of course, AC is guaranteed, and there’s a huge outdoor pool to cool off in on hot afternoons.
Little secret: One can procure alcohol from the shop downstairs even (if you are non-Muslim).
Backpackers Hostel Lahore
$ | 2 star | Close to the Vogue Towers | Shared kitchen | Private and dorm rooms
If you’re in need of super budget-friendly accommodation in Lahore or you simply really enjoy the backpacking hostel vibe, then the Backpackers Hostel is a decent pick. I need to give fair warning though to not expect too much from this place – unfortunately, dorm rooms do not all have air conditioning (only some of the private do) which can make it very uncomfortable to try and get some rest in the stiffing heat of Lahore.
However, if you’re really needing to stretch your dollar, Lahore Backpackers does at least offer a shared kitchen to keep expenses down further. It’s located in Block J not far from the Gaddafi Stadium and Pace Shopping Mall, but some of the main attractions like Bagh-e-Jinnah and the Anarkali Bazar are a bit farther away.
This place is almost a right of passage for first-time backpackers coming to Pakistan so if you want to be a part of that legacy, stay here!
Nine Tree Luxury Hotel & Suites
$$ | 4 star | Close to Gaddafi Stadium | Fitness center | Restaurant onsite
Thanks to the professionalism and cleanliness of Nine Tree, your honeymoon vacation can have the extra touch of romance and luxury. It’s one of the best four-star hotels in Lahore, not only covering travel basics like a free airport shuttle and breakfast but also offering a great fitness center and a fridge and coffee maker in each room.
You’ll have to take a rickshaw or Careem to get to some of the top cultural landmarks of Lahore within the Walled City, but other points of interest like the Vogue Towers and Pace Shopping Mall are close by. A lot of the spacious rooms at Nine Tree also have a decent view, and of course, air conditioning is a given.
Royaute Luxury Suites and Hotel Gulberg
$$ | 4 star | Close to Liberty Market | Kitchenette | Balcony
For that extra romantic touch during a trip to Pakistan, the Royaute Luxury Suites is one of the top picks for accommodation in Lahore. The location is superb and just a two-minute walk from M.M. Alam Road, known for its upscale restaurants, shopping malls, and cinemas.
The combination of service and style makes it one of the best four-star hotels in Lahore, especially considering that the price isn’t exorbitant. Royaute also allows unmarried couples to stay, which can be more challenging to find among hotels in Lahore and Pakistan in general.
Considering the flexibility this allows, plus the bonuses of having amenities like a restaurant onsite, an airport shuttle, and homey comforts like a kitchenette for added autonomy, it’s no wonder why the Royaute has earned its place on this list of Lahore’s best hotels.
Hayyat Luxury Hotel Apartments
$$ | 4 star | Close to Jilani Park | Airport shuttle | Restaurant onsite
Sifting through options for family-friendly hotels in Lahore can be a hassle. I’d recommend the Hayyat Apartments for families since they offer a good combo of hotel amenities and home comforts.
It’s also very close to some of Lahore’s top parks like Bagh-e-Jinnah and Jilani Park, which are both fun places for family activities. Plus, on-site there’s a children’s playground where kids can run off steam at the end of the day.
“Apartment” style features of the hotel include a sitting area and kitchenette, while standard hotel amenities like breakfast service and a restaurant onsite secure the Hayyat’s spot as one of the best hotels in Lahore for families.
Grand Enclave
$$ | 4 star | Only 1.9 miles from Allama Iqbal Airport | Children’s playground | Restaurant onsite
Coming in off a late flight or preparing for an early departure are ten times worse when your accommodation is an hour’s drive from the airport. Lahore is no small city, and with congested city traffic, it’s sometimes better to stay at a spot that’s closer to the airport.
Grand Enclave isn’t the cheapest option, but it’s also not overly expensive and is suitable for solo travelers, couples, or families who need the convenience of being just a short drive from the airport. Plus, Grand Enclave has a free shuttle service making transportation that much simpler.
Most of the city’s main cultural attractions and parks are farther away, so if you need accommodation in Lahore for a longer period of time, you might want to consider staying at the Grand Enclave just for arrival or departure and find a more centrally located hotel for the rest of your trip.
Luxus Grand Hotel
$$ | 5 star | Next to Alhamra Arts Center | Swimming pool | Onsite restaurants
Another great luxury hotel in Lahore worth mentioning is the Luxus Grand. Trust the name and know that just about everything at this hotel is done on a grand level including the view! You can opt for either a room overlooking the large onsite swimming pool or one with a city view which might include some landmarks.
A great view isn’t the only thing that will be awaiting you upon arrival. The Luxus Grand also provides complimentary fruit baskets and water bottles for guests, along with comfy bathrobes.
The Alhamra Art Center is practically right next door, and cultural sites like Bagh-e-Jinnah and the Allama Iqbal Museum are just a little farther off. Back on-site you can make use of the fitness center, order room service, or have a buffet or á la carte meal at the restaurant.
The Best of the Rest
Still haven’t quite found the best hotel in Lahore for you? These next options for accommodation are also worth mentioning if you’re looking for a good balance between price, location, and comfort.
Park View Hotel Gulberg
A great budget-friendly hotel in Lahore, the Park View offers more comfort than staying at a hostel (air conditioning is in all rooms) while still not breaking your travel budget.
You also get a continental breakfast included in the room price, and attractions like the Pace Shopping Mall and Vogue Towers are within walking distance.
Park View has great value for a three-star hotel in Lahore, although it lacks some of the features of more luxury options like an airport shuttle or onsite restaurant. However, since you’ll be within a few blocks of the famous restaurants along M.M. Alam Road, I’d recommend indulging in the spectacular flavors of Lahore!
Alnoor Luxury Hotel Apartments
Whether you’re traveling with a family or simply want a bit more autonomy and privacy, an apartment-hotel option like Alnoor is a good pick.
Alnoor also happens to be right next to Jannah Bagh and the Lahore Zoo, making it one of the best hotels in Lahore not only in terms of amenities but also location.
I’d recommend Alnoor for travelers who are staying in Lahore for longer periods of time or who like having homey comforts like a kitchen and living area.
Wrapping Up: Best Hotels in Lahore
Any trip to Pakistan should include a stop in Lahore. Exploring the cultural landmarks and trying all the unique foods of the city can be exhausting (especially in the heat) which is why it’s important to find a good hotel in Lahore to stay in!
Now that you’ve gone through this list of hotels, hopefully, you have a pulse on what to expect from types of accommodation in Lahore. Travelers who are watching their budget but still want good value for their money will benefit from staying at the Park View Hotel or the Tourist Inn Hotel which is my top pick for the best hotels in Lahore.
On the other end of the spectrum, if you’re looking for more luxury, then the Luxus Grand or Pearl Continental is the way to go.
